Good Morning! All things change, and change is in all things. Yep, I am rebranding WOW (Women Owning Wellness). What started out as a venture to connect women through wellness and fitness, actually paved the way for creating wonderful relationships and connections with like-minded women. As a previous gym owner of 10 years, it also was a catalyst to bring wellness topics to women specifically. I am proud of that venture, but always knew deep down, it would not be permanent.
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I believe wellness is a choice. And it is with those hundreds, if not thousands of choices per day, that we can truly lead a well lived life. I mean who doesn’t want to life their best life?
While I believe working out is one caveat of a healthy lifestyle, it is not the end all, be all of a healthy lifestyle. Even in my own personal life, what I once let define me, (how I did on a leaderboard in a CrossFit workout), I realized did not own me as a person. I was actually giving too much power to how my body performed. After a significant injury changed the trajectory of my identity as an athlete (thank you God for helping me learn through this), I realized I was being inept in really working on my wellness in other aspects.
Workouts and the working out part always came easy to me. But it was the other facets and interests I had, that really started to light my fire, my wellness fire. The world is inundated with flashy workout programs, “get skinny fast” shakes, and do this or don’t do this gimmicky stuff. I wanted no part of that. I also felt the pull that “Jen, you have way more to offer than workouts on the internet.”
I knew that I wanted to share what works for me to feel my best…and hint, hint, it was more than what I eat and how I move my body. It ranged from what I eat, to what I wear, to what I believe, and also how and who I spent my time with.
Insert Jen Smith Lifestyle. As a creator and purveyor of all things wellness, I spent some time really trying to figure out the main components of my life. Believe me, my life is not perfect, and I am always a work in progress. But I did start to see some common themes that seemed to repeat themselves in my life.
Introducing! The 5 Waves of the Jen Smith Lifestyle below:

My passion has always been helping and encouraging others. Whether that was in a gym setting as a coach, running a business to help others life a healthy lifestyle, or even trying to build up women in my own circle and extended community. I am Jen, the encourager, as my friend Kristin likes to call me.
Here I am, with a new brand. This brand basically encourages women and hopes to provide relatable content and resources to help them…live their best, wellness filled life! (More on this on my home page)
I truly believe we do own our wellness, through choices and by design. Let’s start designing a life where you are feeling confident, strong, and empowered to be your best self. So, in essence, my lifestyle brand is one way to help others find products, resources, all presented in a no-nonsense Jen way of how I do things in my own life. Messy, silly, with vibrancy and color.
This is an introductory explanation, but more importantly, I want to dive deeper into the 5 principles of JS Lifestyle. Soon. In another blog post.
I’m glad you’re here. If it’s for entertainment, enjoy the show. If it’s to be a resource for products, thank you for shopping and supporting. If you’re here because you’re curious, I’m happy to have you. I think we need other women in our lives who think we are a big deal…and I’m the gal who can tell you, help you, and encourage you, to finally BELIEVE it in yourself, and about yourself.
